Inspired by freedom and unity, this 3-piece cushion set assembles flexibly. Use each piece as pillows, or stack up together to form a soft floor chair, or use as a mattress if connected as a whole. The unconventional edges take after the staircase-like rice paddies when the pieces are layered up.
Designed by Kat Garcia, this is a collaboration that links the mountains and the seas. Like the rice terraces built only by hand, the special hand-weaves are made meticulously by the Bloom weavers association from Baguio City. The washable fillers were sourced from Pure Oceans, a marine conservation social enterprise. The fillers are *upcycled, washed plastics from continuous coastal cleanups with their partner island communities in Tingloy, Batangas. Art and sustainability come to the fore with this unique cushion set.
